JOSE MOURINHO and Pep Guardiola go head to head again in the Champions League this week.
But the winner will not just land a Euro final – the big prize is the keys to Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson steps aside.
Fergie will continue for two more years – as revealed exclusively by People Sport – but, as auditions go, the reward could not be bigger for the Real Madrid and Barcelona rivals, who are both destined for the Premier League.
Guardiola’s friend and fellow Spaniard, Wigan boss Roberto Martinez, closely follows La Liga matters and said: “It is not going to be longer than two years before Guardiola is in the Premier League and, by that time, I think Mourinho will be here, too.

The pressure has been piling on Jose Mourinho of late and a recent spat with Cristiano Ronaldo has left many wondering if the Bernabeu boss may be axed. Pep Guardiola has had great success at Barcelona but has been linked with moves away from the Nou Camp, something that would greatly surprise many given his huge success at the Catalan club.
Pep’s friend Roberto Martinez appears to believe that the Barca boss is destined for a move to the Premier League and given that Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly leaving in two seasons then perhaps the Red Devils will look to either of these options as replacements for their hugely successful boss.
The much debated issue of who Man United will turn to when Ferguson does finally retire is one that must worry supporters of the club as the day the Scot leaves his post will bring an end to a incredibly successful spell and as such any prospective replacement must be something the club’s board is pondering and there are few manager’s in Europe with better credentials than the Barcelona and Real Madrid boss’s.
