Tottenham are ready to enter the £8m race for Lazio defender Stephan Lichtsteiner.
The 27-year-old right-back is also being followed by Juventus, Napoli and Bayern Munich, according to reports in the German press.
But they rate Tottenham among the leading contenders for a Swiss international who is under contract in Rome until June 2013.
